Los Angeles duo The Rigs compromise of TJ Stafford and Caitlin Parrot, they came to my attention after I became hooked on the prior single Fall Or Fly. TJ and Caitlin are prolific songwriters who’ve been collaborating since 2014, their music has even featured on shows like The Walking Dead, True Blood, Sons of Anarchy, Parenthood and many more.

The Hunted is the latest song to be lifted from the forthcoming LP World On Fire and it’s a breathtaking piece of perfection. You had a sleek blissful melody which radiated plenty of enchanting synthy goodness and then you had Parrott’s gentle/ hushed vocals which resulted in something easy on the ear. Yet again Caitlin vocals made me picture Oh Wonder’s Josephine Vander Gucht.

Then we come to the lyrical content, this compelling cut was brimming with darkness which had me envisioning a witch hunt/ the feeling of being chased. The Hunted had been perfectly written as those lyrics left me completely mesmerised.
