The Journey of The Rigs

The Rigs is more than just a band—it’s the embodiment of two unique voices and artistic souls, Caitlin Parrott-Stafford and TJ Stafford, who came together to create music that transcends genres and resonates deeply with listeners. Formed in 2014, The Rigs started from a decade-long friendship between Caitlin and TJ, both having walked different musical paths before their fateful collaboration.

Their shared history and mutual respect for each other’s craft laid the groundwork for what would become a powerhouse duo, blending alternative rock, atmospheric synths, and cinematic soundscapes.

Caitlin Parrott-Stafford grew up in a musical family. Her father, Bill Parrott, was the frontman of a Christian country rock band, and she was surrounded by music from a young age. She wrote her first song at 16, and songwriting has remained her therapeutic outlet ever since. Her voice—ethereal, emotional, and raw—brings a haunting presence to The Rigs’ music, drawing listeners into their stories of love, pain, and resilience.

TJ Stafford, a seasoned musician himself, was handed his first guitar at the age of 5. His journey through various musical styles eventually led him to meet Caitlin, and after playing in different bands together, the duo realized their potential as a creative team. TJ's vocals add a dynamic layer to The Rigs, complementing Caitlin emotional depth with his powerful, rock-influenced sound. Together, their voices form the signature sound that fans have come to love.

What sets The Rigs apart is their ability to blend raw emotion with cinematic intensity. Their songs have been featured on popular television shows like The Walking Dead, American Horror Story, and True Blood, exposing their sound to millions of new listeners.

Whether it's the haunting melodies of "The Hunted", the defiance of "White Flag", or the introspective tones of "Fall or Fly", their music strikes a chord with those who seek honesty and vulnerability in their playlists.

Today, The Rigs continues to evolve, pushing the boundaries of alternative rock by incorporating electronic elements and exploring themes of human connection, struggle, and survival. Their music remains emotionally charged, a reflection of their own experiences and their ongoing journey as artists. With their latest projects on the horizon, The Rigs shows no signs of slowing down. Each release brings new depth and innovation, inviting listeners to join them on their musical journey—a journey defined by passion, creativity, and an unyielding drive to make music that matters.
